The Shrew

This tree has been stripped bare,
Nothing but grey branches I swear.
You were my vivid technicolor so bright,
Losing you was a devastating fright.
To think of us laying with bodies blended,
And now separated with love suspended.
You devastated my heart and soul,
An hollow victory is yours to howl.
I hold my head down in shame,
For I failed in my effort to a shrew tame.
