Truly a very wicked seed
Full of vileness indeed!
From a poisonous weed
Nurtured by human greed
Wherever this vice is freed

It multiplies at great speed
And overwhelmingly exceed
All the good morals we breed
With a foul often selfish need
From malicious fruits of misdeed

Destroyer of dreams
Makes them invalid
Destroyer of society
With a stench so acrid
Destroyer of man
With a bite that’s rabid
Destroyer of a nation
Its growth is rapid
Destroyer of progress
Its roots hard to be rid

Thou i sound like a broken reed
Politically many have disagreed
Yet morally many have agreed
This immoral venom does feed
Our society’s materialistic creed

Nothing good follows this deed
Ignoring or failing to take heed
Only allows such evil to proceed
Making the poor, innocent bleed
While the rich, powerful succeed

Destroyer of dreams
Makes them invalid
Destroyer of society
With a stench so acrid
Destroyer of man
With a bite that’s rabid
Destroyer of a nation
Its growth is rapid
Destroyer of progress
Its roots hard to be rid

Should we wallow in defeat and simply concede?
Silently suffer under the weight of this stampede?
Succumb to impunity and rules that impede?
Down an abysmal despair continue to recede?
If not us then who else do we expect to intercede?

Arise from the stupor of such fraudulent mead
Stand and fight for our integrity to take lead
Take and demand action! It’s futile to beg or plead
Against this evil practice that damningly mislead
For lasting solutions depends on what we knead
