I once was so in love and floating on air
Then fell out of love into a spiteful lair
Hurting from within to every inch of hair
The throne of love begets a thorny chair
The dark side of love is a beast to beware

It’s true the world can get to be so unfair
Not a bed of roses full of bliss and funfair
Love often becomes such a tangled affair
Spinning out of control from all that’s fair
The dark side of love is a beast to beware

She and I, were such an inseparable pair
Never had I dreamt of a doom to impair
Still my heart got broken beyond repair
Leaving me drowning in tears of despair
The dark side of love is a beast to beware

Heart ache the seeds am now forced to rear
A smiling face the very mask I would wear
As I bleed inside from loves wear and tear
Never again! The words I curse and swear
The dark side of love is a beast to beware

The romantic moon can shine a jilted glare
That torments the soul with its angry flare
Thus pain becomes the feeling to declare
Sounding the cries of my sorrowful blare
The dark side of love is a beast to beware
