As a surgeon is when he wields a scalpel
So is a poet armed with words to dispel
If life is a flower this forms the carpel
Poetry is an art and a blissful gospel

Such a great force with a power to compel
A spirit to rise and skywards to propel
As passionate as the faith sort in a chapel
Poetry is an art and a blissful gospel

A divine shower of words hard to repel
And an ecstatic wave that’s able to impel
Wisdom so ancient no other can expel
Poetry is an art and a blissful gospel

Words are the gold refined in its cupel
That storms our mist, a poetic graupel
Oblivious laws and notions that estoppel
Poetry is an art and a blissful gospel
