Physics is poetry, poetry physics
For the poet,
Jayanta Mahapatra
As is his discipline
And draws and derives he
From physics often,
Delving and dwelling far
Into the space of time,
The domains and trajectories
Of astrophysics and metaphysics,
Light and darkness,
The origin of the universe
And the break of the sound,
A poet teaching physics
In the classrooms,
But practicing poesy privately
With the love of x-ray and photography.
