On World Schizophrenia Day
Met I
A schizophrenic
Walking himself,
Talking himself
And going on the roads,
A schizophrenic
Going alone,
Living alone in his house
On World Schizophrenia Day.

A schizophrenic he was himself
Smiling,
Walking and talking to,
One in the rags and shabby
A mad man, an abnormal
He was going by,
One oblivious of date, time and year
Bearded and unkempt
The man in dirty clothes.

On World Schizophrenia Day
Met I,
Saw I him
Babbling and smiling
And thinking deeply
With the head on the hands
And he thinking and thinking deeply,
A schizophrenic bearded and unkempt.
