My dream within a dream

Dark was the night, of my deadliest plight
Devoid of light, when an evil black knight
Of towering height, with fiery might,
Stormed into sight, my soul was his fight,
My screams airtight, body frozen from flight
I cowered in fright…

Then I woke it was bright and all was alright
It was just a dream, which came with the twilight

Sunshine lit the night, to my sweetest delight
In broadest daylight, a holy white knight
Of majestic height, so godly of might
Flew into sight, my soul surrendered the fight
My joy came forthright, my spirit readied for flight
With no fear even slight……

Then I woke it was still night, and all was alright
It was a dream within the dream, which came with the twilight
