It is unwise to let your life dreams go pallid
Pursue them with zeal and make them valid
Unfinished chapters make your story invalid

Waters of life’s sea pretend to be placid
A ploy to sink ships whose sails go flaccid
Leaving behind regrets that burn like acid

Regrets that lather into a mist so acrid
Turning lands of hope to grounds so arid
Promising a future so bleak and horrid

True happiness finds lives that are candid
Living a lie is a mirage far from splendid
Leaves one undone like others it undid

It is best to be wise than learned and stupid
Knowledge withstands currents that are insipid
But wisdom withstands currents that are rapid

In life’s trials and tribulation, wisdom towers amid
The hidden treasures and secrets in life’s pyramid
Remember fortune favors the bold not the timid

Destiny and fate awaits you to place your bid
If you don’t outbid life illusions God forbid
Reality will hit you with a sting that’s morbid
