Drift

Drift

Drift

I spied, she spied
Saw beneath the camo hide
On my mind many times
Imagine us sensual to the tides

melissa-mermaid-1

A bullet for her

Just wouldn’t do
I’d take a whole magazine
The back-up piece as well, true!

It’s a dream, a fantasy
Confidently I let her be
And gaze upon her beauty free
Hiding in the willow trees

I do not lament
I’m not spent
She’s not a thing I could own or even rent
A muse production for the main event?

As water drops from the rose
As the merlot stimulates my nose
These thoughts grow
A lightbulb above that always glows

Innerstella

Innerstella

Annunciation of olden scrolls
Deep, sacred weapons of stone
Fire wells, wielding axe, the blunt unknown
Oxygen breath and spaces thrown

I pry, I whisper, I circle, I wait
This time I steal, this time I take
Never back down, never abate
Con your fate

She does not hear my wagons circle
An unknown entity
Like a curious purple
Distance marked, continue the circle

I’ll send firefly’s to mark my arrival
I’ll stand tall in the face of my greatest rival
I will conquer my foe, the dragon within
Manifest back to where it all began

Descending

Descending

Distraught, alone, motionless.
Talking in circles, talking to himself.
Burned. Finally Learned.
A sympathetic soul was for what he yearned.  Decending
Heart entrenched in deep black coal.
Shivering silently, lonely dark hole.

Suicide depresses a closed mind.
Searching, crying, slowly died
Unloved and alone.
Severing all ties at home.
Seeking anywhere than where he’s from.
A young man struggles on.
Rejected by all those opposed.
Sleeping in smelly clothes.

She could have loved him if she tried.
Maybe that’s just another lie.
As the water rises high,
Lets out a sigh.
Steps off the bridge but he didn’t fly.

Vanity

Vanity

Phobia of a dominant man.
Animal, primal instincts held in hand.
Overwhelming impulsive desires,
Craving to see your body on fire.

Revealing all then abruptly withdraw.
Taking all, everything you saw.
I need more than this emotional pain.
Unworthiness of pitiful gain.

The mocking birds snigger at the lonely soul.
Snipers linger behind the grassy knoll.
Driving me away yet yearning for me near.
Pollutes my mind with careless fear.
Your succumbing malice
Is raising my callous.

Frustrating, so close,
Trapped behind blood-stained glass.
Smash through you must.
The breakage lies in your grasp.
For our friendship is starting to rust.

The shelves are all dusty & plain.
Ive read all the texts, boring the same.
You don’t need me so i’ll leave.
Nothing I do will compel you to believe.
We could have been is now just a myth.
So alone I’ll strum the lonely blues riff.

Choose Your Own Destiny

Choose Your Own Destiny

I want to collide my worlds with yours
My cosmos is at your doors
A blended union
Smash doors knuckles bruising
Control the fusing
Forming lasting union

No need for fakers
No time for lateness
Hours deep
Some roads are steep
Heed the breakers
Walkman saviours

Life and choices
We live and breathe rawness
I write to find the core
An apple tossed
Lightning scores
Detoxing pores

And you belong
It takes more than one to sing along
Cause you are someone
You are strong
Mediate and bond
Find a place and hum along
