We’ve all played host to a wrongful trait
Or fallen victim to some temptations bait
We might harbor regret of a past we’d plait
When pain and remorse haunts our gait

The moments in time we can’t think straight
When we buckle to life’s strenuous weight
And hardships we face, that hurdles freight!
Impedes our spirit from scaling new height

At times we forget to even self-appreciate
That we still have breath and power to initiate
An inner sleeping giant to make us alleviate
The forces at hand that make us deviate

Believe in yourself, it is never too late
To change the course of a doleful fate
To better ourselves! Start on a clean slate
We’re the ones who serve our destiny’s plate
