My eyes cannot behold it
To see the statue of Radha and Krishna
Into the hands of mine
Found from the rubble,
Debris, mouldering heaps,
Ruins of the dilapidated
And falling temples
Of Chandrakona,
Age-old, centuries-old,
Lime stone powder
And small brick made temples
Of Chandrakona.

From the foundation, the pillars
And walls fallen,
The heaps of earth,
To my astonishment,
What am I seeing,
A statue of Radha and Krishna
Cast in gold,
But turned black
Or coated in so
Startling me to see
A statue historical
And museumlogical!
