22 Poems You Should Read About Love and Life!: A collection of Poems

COLLECTION OF POEMS

A beautiful collection of poems from the heart about – joy, sorrow, triumph, love and pain. Hugely drawn from my personal experiences in life, it is a true tribute to life in all its beauty.

While ‘Mother, my ode to you’, conveys how a mother continues to guide and inspire her child in every way in life’s struggles, ‘Strength’ lifts up the downcast spirit with life’s historical triumphs and wins. ‘Break free’ is about the dark vicissitudes of practical life and how the protagonist wants freedom from life’s falsities and hypocrisies. ‘Thinking of you, my love’ is about the love-filled thoughts kindled for the beloved while in ‘He comes..’ the protagonist wonders if she really deserves the new-found love in her life and doubts her destiny which has been unkind to her earlier. Quite on the same lines of ‘He comes..’ is ‘She espies..’ where she doubts her waning beauty in attracting her man, preferring to languish for him in her dreams.

This book is a story that happens in every human life and I am sure most readers will relate to the characters involved.

Some reviews:

By Amanda R. Fields TOP 500 REVIEWER on February 17, 2015
I love reading new authors published work. Preeti Govada was raised in Hyderabad and now lives in Mumbai. She is a free lance writer and a talented poet, I really enjoyed this eBook.
’22 Poems You Should Read About Love and Life!’ concentrates on emotional reasoning and centers itself through different stages of life that we all can relate too. A wide spectrum of subjects about, romance, love, happiness, sorrow and pain. How we deal with these feelings is wrapped around a trail of beautiful symbolic words of literature through captivating prose and poetry. All smoothly bind together in food-for-thought reasoning.
My personal favorite in this eBook is called ‘Lonely’ quote:
“Ask me how it is, to spend time like this
with just myself and my agonies
Lonely and lost, frozen in fear
When everything looks dismal, all unclear…..
This is just the first part to this poem just to give you a little idea of her thoughts and how she writes pen to paper.
The essence of poetry is sadly coming to an end and is not as popular as a century ago. It’s nice to know a few writers keep it alive like Peeti. The developmental values lay within these pages that seem to give you strength and meaning through own own life’s journey. An entertaining experience.
I did however agree to read and review the 22 poems and found that I enjoyed them. The poems are short

By Wayne Elsner on March 28, 2015

I’m not sure I am the right person to be reviewing a book of poems. Poetry isn’t my normal read and they aren’t a literary form that I know much about. I did however agree to read and review the 22 poems and found that I enjoyed them.
The poems are short, which might have helped me, but they also said something to me. I don’t think I’ll choose another book of poems for my next read but for anyone who is into poetry I think they would enjoy reading 22 poems you should read about love and life.
I was given a copy for evaluation and an unbiased review
This was nice to read over the weekend

By Erika on March 23, 2015

This was nice to read over the weekend. I loved the poem, “Mother…my ode to you.” I thought of my own mother while reading that one.
Each poem is personal and heartfelt; the reader can really get a feel for the author’s suffering and contentment. There is a range of emotions in this collection.
I enjoyed reading the poems.
Very good poems

By Brenchris on February 8, 2015

Very good poems, but the book is too short.
I wanted to read more.

She has also authored another book titled

I am an Angel’s Daughter: An inspiring story” .

Dreamscape

Whenever I close my eyes, images of you surface,
Each memory of cherished moments bring joy.

Passionate frolics permeate my consciousness,
My being is filled with joy at thoughts of you.

In all my precious dreams you are my princess,
My jewel, opening the floodgates to my happiness.

Worth far more than your weight in gold,
I welcome moments of seclusion with you.

Images of us together engrossed in each other,
Memories and fantasies that erase bad moods.

My mind is the canvas, in it I paint our escapades,
Artistically capturing your delicate innocence.

As I start painting on blank canvas,
Your piercing eyes come to life, faithful and loyal.

As I enter my secret mindscape I smile,
Your beauty leaps to life inside my head.

The darkness of sleep is ablaze with you,
Joyous moments approach as you walk in.

Your gentle touch sends electric currents through me,
Full of love and passion with so much empathy.

I revel in your presence happy and solaced,
In our mind’s world all is right and perfection.

We are in control of all that transpires, so sacred,
Such happiness escapes my grasp in my reality.

As Time Bloom

As Time Bloom

Under the silver light of the second full moon
Lies the pages of a blood oath
That stained the floor in a crimson ink

And from that ink
Destiny spun into the unfortunate fate
That transgressed underneath the satin sun
Though of the sun we bared not it’s light

Shamefully we walked
As misfit to the catastrophic entities of time
Yet with our hollow smiles we ran with pride
Unweaving fools in tuned to the stars

Therefore we cared not of the morn
Nor of the sweet dawn that awaited in the twilight
For to faded was out forte
And the true beauty of our lives only lied within its end

But a flower bloom in the night
Causing me to lose all focus, So I became lost
Lost to the enchanting mysteries of what could be
As well as to the ideals of what the night was meant to be

To what purpose was there to reach for life in that moment I wondered…
Perhaps to show some means of hope
To instill in some that life is much more than shadows… Maybe

Funny,
How some things become more relevant when the sun is not shining
Like those stars or that silver sighted moon

Call it the will of a god to have such a simple thing change a misguided fool.

SYNTHESIS

Shores always enjoy
beauty of the seas…
Sun overjoyed reading
poems of rain…
Rice seeds well ensconced
love protective paddy husks…
Greenish leaves gleefully
watch the blossoming of flowers…
Pebbles bask in the showers of the rivers…
Breeze is blessed to buzz cosy trees.
Rays rejoice kissing rainbows…
Come my Love, come
Why we should not finish each other’s thoughts
and reciprocate synthesis of Nature’s Bliss…

Our Union

Our Union

Our Union

One day I will hold your hand under the open sky,
Vowing to walk in unison for eternity.
Nothing shall stand in our united way,
Every hardship we shall together overcome.
Pain and anguish we seek to avoid,
Our combined wills shall light a flame.
Our passion the balm against jealous sneers,
We shall traverse life in tandem.
Rejoice in our eternal blissful intimacy,
Our union based on truth, love and care.
