Sometimes when a dark cloud settles on me
And the hope of a brighter tomorrow
Is suppressed in my charcoaled soul,
I look at the rabbits hopping around
and the hedgehogs moving about
After a winter of dormancy.

I listen to the flap of of the bats’
Low flight beneath the star-spangled sky.
I look for a sympathetic ear,
A voice as soft as honeydew,
I look at Picasso’s cubist painting
With eyes half-languishing
Half-drown in tears.
then I feel like a meek coward
Travelling among villages incognito.

The serenely still night
Brings to my mind
The wisdom of ancient men and women
Who were perfectly free from
The least touch of sickly melancholy.

I think of the naked and native
Dignity of mankind
In all its majesty and its might.
Then,I choose not to be the nightingale sitting in darkness
Cheering its own solitude [avatar user=”Pramila” size=”100″ align=”right” link=”/author/pramila”] With sounds sweet.
I choose to be the ‘Paille-en-queue’
Flying over the pines
In all its moods and guises.

From the boughs
Hidden in the tree
In the balmy summer’s eve
Swoon to your song
Your Creator has given you

Whistle and chirp
For the hands that feed you
Hands that hide you
Through the constant changing seasons

Bear witness His truth
Through your whistle and song
Make proud your maker
Who made you to sing

Fly, glide about the air
On unfolded wing
As your song pipes along
Leaving melodies behind
Falling tender from your flight

Will we stop to eavesdrop?
Or will you become the milieu
Lost in the stir of life
Will we slow and listen [avatar user=”Eric Von Rohr” size=”100″ align=”right” link=”/author/eric-von-rohr”]

So sing bluebird, sing
Tangible, you hold a secret
God has given you…
To give to us…Creation!

Take me with you..!!!

Take me with you..!!!

Take me with you

Take me with you,
take me some place new.
A place away from the noise in the city,
a place away from the silence in the heart.
Where there is no practicality,
where there is more clarity.
A place better than earth,
a place not less than paradise.

A place to your heart,
a place not far from mine.
A place where flowers still blossom,
a place where that is considered awesome.
Somewhere where the magic still exists,
somewhere where love still sparkles.
Take me with you,
take me some place new.

Where the light of hope shines upon the present,
and covers the dark of the past which are not rather pleasant.
Where each day is considered a new birth,
and you feel your living is worth. [avatar user=”Pearl Mendis” size=”100″ align=”right” link=”/author/pearl-mendis”] A place where jealousy has no pride,
a place where life is a simple, pleasant and joyful ride.
Take me with you,
take me some place new.

Eyes drunk with love,
Innocent-looking as strawberries,
She heaved sad sighs
While floods of silent tears
Flowed down her cheeks
In sweet melancholy and sweeter drooping.

She felt like a pine in solitude
Wrapped in an atmosphere
Of exclusive respectability.
Breathless though she was,
She could neither reveal nor conceal
The sweet longing of her trembling heart.

A golden light had flashed on her heart
Leaving rays as sweet
As the fire made of firewood.
Though never told,her feelings
Were understood by somebody,her man,
Who read the lucidity in her soul.

He was full of the splendor of summer
With no tinge of winter’s horror.
While his broad strong lips moved
Soothing words sprung out of his mouth.

That same evening
They would be meeting
In a remote corner. [avatar user=”Pramila” size=”100″ align=”right” link=”/author/pramila”] And she cried the whole morning.
Never had she realised
That love could be so painful
Until she fell in love.

Losing you

Losing you

Losing you

I wish I had the perfect words to say to you,
so that you could feel exactly the way I do.

I wish I knew you’ve changed so much,
there is no more the care in your touch.

I miss the days we laughed at each other,
it was you i trusted more than any other .

It feels like you’ve changed over night,
and dunno why it gives me the fright. [avatar user=”Pearl Mendis” size=”100″ align=”right” link=”/author/pearl-mendis”]

More than the fright of losing you I fear I already have,
and no matter what I do you’ll never be the Gem I had.
